The Eotech 517 is one of the new additions to the EOTech line. The EOTech 517.A65/1 sight is nearly identical to the 512 sight with two important differences. First, the control buttons are placed on the side of the sight, allowing you to more naturally make adjustments while keeping your rifle shouldered. The side control buttons also make using the sight easier when combined with magnifiers or other accessories.

Secondly, a portion of the front of the base of the EOTech 517 sits 7 millimeters higher, permitting you to attach the sight over the handguard of M4 and AR15/M16 fifles. (See photo)

Twenty brightness levels ensure proper brightness control in either low light or very bright sunlight. An on-board microprocessor provides automatic battery check indicator, up/down brightness scrolling and programmable auto shutdown features. All electronics are fully encapsulated in shock absorbing resin compound.

The M2124 is a rugged, clip-on night vision device (CN VD) based upon the military nomenclature AN /PVS-24 used by U.S. Special Operations Forces. The advanced design of the M2124 eliminates the typical requirement of removing a primary (day) sighting system since the CN VD mounts in line with a standard day optical sight. C ombining day and night vision sights eliminates the need to re-zero, since the primary sight remains undisturbed. A dditional advantages to supplementing a primary sighting system with the M2124 include maintaining a user’s consistent eye relief and shooting position as well as retaining user muscle memory. By operating the locking quick-disconnect, single-throw lever mounting system provided, the M2124 easily attaches to a MIL-ST D-1913 rail interface system. The unit may also be used as a hand-held observation device.

The M2124 is controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) USML Category XII (c), and may not be exported to a Foreign Person, either in the U.S. or abroad, without a license or exemption from the U.S. Department of State. Cleared for Public Release by DOD/OSR, dated April 22, 2009, reference number 09-S-0710.
